Information about our XML interfaces

At what times does the interface read my advertisements?

Our interfaces have the following import times: approx. 04.00 / 07.00 / 10.00 / 13.00 / 16.00 / 18.00 / 19.00
At these times, the interface automatically reads the XML feed and imports new listings, changes to existing listings or removes deleted listings.

Can my XML feed be password-protected?

Basic authentication is permitted as long as the login data does not change.

Can the URL of my XML feed change?

We require a static URL (no redirects). Subsequent changes to the URL must be reported to us, otherwise the publication of the advertisement cannot be guaranteed.

Can I transmit the value “No information”?

Generally no, except for the fields SPRACHKENNTNIS_KANDIDAT and SPRACHKENNTNIS_NIVEAU. You can find the details in our Specifications for building an EQK-resistant XML structure.

What formatting is supported?

Supported HTML tags for the lead (XML field: Vorspann):
<a>, <b>, <br>, <em>, <h1> to <h6>, <li>, <p>, <strong>, <ul>, <ol>

Supported HTML tags for the text (XML-Feld: TEXT):
<a>, <b>, <br>, <em>, <h1> to <h6>, <li>, <p>, <strong>, <ul>, <ol>, <u>

Important: <h1> to <h2> are displayed with font size 20px and <h3> to <h6> with 18px.

Which language coding is allowed?

Unicode: ISO-8859-1 or UTF-8 (e.g. <!–?xml version=”1.0″ encoding=”UTF-8″?–>)

All applications should be sent directly to my ATS. How do I proceed?

As soon as e-mail addresses are transmitted (regardless of the field), they are found and masked by our “e-mail channeling”. The e-mail address in the advertisement is replaced with a link to our in-house application form. Applications are submitted via our form and forwarded by our tools to the e-mail address provided. The application documents can then be accessed via a link. It may be that this process is not compatible with your ATS. If this is the case, you can omit the e-mail addresses completely and submit the job-specific link to the ATS form in the field. This links our “Apply” button to your form. When you click on the button, the form opens in a new tab and all applications are received directly in your ATS.

Layout options

I would like to add images, videos and contact persons to my ads. How do I proceed?

To access Template Plus and its functions, please send the following fields via XML feed of your interface:

LOGO
BANNER
VIDEO
USER_KONTAKT_ID

In order for Google Maps to appear in the ad, please send the full address with street, zip and location:

STRASSE
PLZ
ORT

I would like to display different images, videos and contact persons in my ads. How do I proceed?

In order to display different logos, banners, videos or contact persons in the ads, the values must be sent via XML feed of your XML interface.

Please clarify directly with your ATS provider which of the following options are available in your tool:

Option 1: Transfer ID
(possible for LOGO, BANNER, VIDEO, USER_KONTAKT_ID)
The images, videos and contact details are first uploaded in your jobs.ch account. The elements are then targeted via IDs in the interface.

Option 2: Transfer URL
(possible for LOGO, BANNER, VIDEO)
Your ATS provider sends the images and videos as URLs, which we embed in your ad. The files are hosted by you or your ATS provider.

If neither of these options is available for your ATS provider, please proceed to the next question.

My ATS provider doesn’t offer the option to transfer images, videos or contact persons via interface. How do I proceed?

Alternatively, we can set a default logo, a default banner and a default video in your jobs.ch account. All ads will automatically go online with these default elements.

Please note: We cannot set contact persons as default.

If you are interested, please send us the desired files in the format specified in the factsheet to service@jobcloud.ch.

I always want to display the same elements. How do I proceed?

Would you like your ads to always have the same design?

We can set a default logo, a default banner and a default video in your jobs.ch account. All ads will automatically go online with these default elements. No adjustments necessary from your ATS provider.

Please note: We cannot set contact persons as default.

If you are interested, please send us the desired files in the format specified in the factsheet to service@jobcloud.ch.

How do I upload my logo and create the ID for it?

Please log in to your jobs.ch account and proceed to «Logos» on the left side of the menu. Click on «Manage ad logos». Here you will find all logos with the individual IDs in the upper right corner.

If you haven’t added any logos yet, please upload them in the required format according to the factsheet in order to create the ID.

How do I upload my banner and create the ID for it?

Please log in to your jobs.ch account and proceed to «Logos» on the left side of the menu. Click on «Manage ad banners». Here you will find all banners with the individual IDs in the upper right corner.

If you haven’t added any banners yet, please upload them in the required format according to the factsheet in order to create the ID.

How do I upload my video and create the ID for it?

Please log in to your jobs.ch account and proceed to «Company profile» on the left side of the menu. Click on «Edit» and scroll down to section «Video». Here you will find all videos with the individual IDs above the thumbnails.

If you haven’t added any videos yet, please upload them in order to create the ID. To do this, click on «+Video» and enter the URL in the required format according to the factsheet. Save the change and click on «Edit company profile again». Scroll back down to the «Video» section to find the individual ID above the thumbnail.

How do I upload my contact details and a contact picture and create the ID for it?

Please log in to your jobs.ch account and proceed to «User» on the left side of the menu. The individual IDs are displayed on the right side of the users.

To upload a contact picture, click on the name of the user. You are now in the editing mode. Click on «Change profile picture» and upload the picture in the required format according to the factsheet. If the user doesn’t exist yet, create a new user by clicking on «Add user». Once the user has been saved, the individual ID is generated.

I would like to set up an XML interface for Jobup. How do I proceed?

Please also create the programmatic interface using our standard specifications. The structure of both XML structures is almost identical.
