Information about our Crawlers
At what times does the crawler read my advertisements?
The crawler cycle takes place approximately every 3 hours: 02.00 / 05.00 / 08.00 / 11.00 / 14.00 / 17.00 / 20.00 / 23.00 (GMT+1)
Changes to the advertisements on the careers page (new, adjusted or deleted advertisements) are then taken over by the crawler. Deleted ads are removed from our platforms after 23 hours.
Can the URL of my career page change?
We require a static URL (no redirects). Subsequent changes to the URL of the career page must be reported to us, otherwise the publication of the advertisement cannot be guaranteed.
Can my previously published advertisement be changed at a later date?
Changes to the job description, the job title or the advertisement URL are regarded by the crawler as a new job advertisement. The original advertisement is therefore deleted and published as a new advertisement.
Which formatting is supported? Will my CSS be read and used?
The crawler mostly takes over the HTML formatting of your career page. However, this must be checked on a case-by-case basis. The CSS of the source page is not included.
Which decoding is allowed?
Unicode: ISO-8859-1 or UTF-8 (z.B. <!–?xml version=”1.0″ encoding=”UTF-8″?–>)
The advertisements on my careers page open in a pop-up window. Does crawling work with this?
Job-specific links must be available so that our crawler can differentiate between the vacancies. Consistent links that only lead to a job overview cannot be used.
All applications should be sent directly to my ATS. How do I proceed?
As soon as there is an e-mail address in the advertisement, it is detected by our “e-mail channeling” and masked. The e-mail address in the advertisement is replaced with a link to our in-house application form. Applications are submitted via our form and forwarded by our tools to the e-mail address provided. The application documents can then be accessed via a link. This process may not be compatible with your ATS. If this is the case, we recommend omitting the e-mail addresses altogether. If available, we are happy to set up the crawler so that our “Apply” button is linked to the job-specific link to your application form. When you click on the button, the form opens in a new tab and all applications are received directly in your ATS.

Layout options
I would like to add images, videos and contact persons to my ads. How do I proceed?
Your ads can be customised with a logo, banner and video. We can set a default logo, a default banner and a default video in your jobs.ch account. All ads will automatically go online with these default elements. We cannot set contact persons as default.
